Paris Wonderful Paris

Paris Timetable

While Paris is fast becoming a 24-hour capital much like New York or Tokyo, some European traditions persist in the commercial sector. Many small shops are closed Monday in order to give shop-keepers a full weekend, beginning Saturday p.m. This is also true of some restaurants. A number of shops, including small supermarkets, will close for lunch hour, anywhere between one and four p.m. Open-air markets throughout the city traditionally end by 1 p.m. Students are advised to familiarize themselves with shop schedules before making a special trip.
